MEET THE FOUNDERS

Melanin Beautiful was founded by Sharri Williams and Renee Williams-Pineda (two lifelong friends who just happen to share the same last name) in 2020. Prior to starting Melanin Beautiful, Sharri had been working a stressful corporate job as a Retirement Plan Consultant and Renee was working at an equally stressful job as an attorney. During the height of the pandemic, when the world was forced to slow down, they both had some time to reassess their lives and find a new direction for their careers. Seeing that there was a lack of clean and organic skin products for women of color, they decided to create a cosmetics line for women with melanated skin. They are on a mission to always create skincare products that are green, organic, and cruelty-free so that those who use their products have stunning melanated skin that matches the beauty within!
